On May 1, 2002, the China Compulsory Certification Administration Regulation was formally implemented, replacing the former import commodity safety and quality licensing system and the electrical product safety certification system with the Compulsory Certification System. China’s compulsory product certification, referred to as CCC certification or 3C certification, is a statutory compulsory safety certification system. It is also a basic practice widely adopted internationally, to protect consumers’ rights and interests and safeguard consumers’ personal and property safety.
